taking space

giving myself

and taking

all the space

and time

I need

feeling

a whole range of emotions

visiting me

from the past

letting them in

and holding onto them

until their charge is diffused

digesting and processing

until there is nothing left to feel

until I have decoded

and taken in

what they are telling me

until I no longer have to hide

from my wounding

my rough edges

my imperfections

from my messy,

and rumbled self
