and me in you

little do I listen to what is alive in us

drowned out by my bids to fit in

overruled by my wounding

the sounds of loneliness

with no patience to feel deeply

and yet

lying down with you

and surrendering

into your embrace

I am blessed

touching and tasting

of the sacred

opening up between us
